Talkwalker Tip #3: Make your alerts error-free!

There are a few common mistakes our Alerts users make and I want you to get them right to receive error-free alerts in no time!

1. Use quotation marks: If your search query includes two or more words don't forget to add quotation marks around the terms or else you'll start getting some very strange results! Samsung Galaxy rather than "Samsung Galaxy" for example will give you a load of astronomy news alongside the smartphone trends you may be looking for.

2. Capitalize your Boolean operators: If you don't capitalize "AND" and "OR" our Alerts will assume you're looking for the terms "and" "or" in text. As you can imagine, this is going to end up in a lot of irrelevant results!

3. Watch out for punctuation: If you want to include non-alpha-numeric characters (e.g. ', .+ & / etc.) make sure you put the query in quotation marks and add a + sign at the beginning.

As with anything, practice makes perfect. Follow this simple tip and you'll be able to keep track of all the relevant results!

Happy Alerting!
